About me

My name is Barnabás Csizmazia, I am 21 years old and I live in Southern Hungary. I have been actively doing sports since I was a child, motorsport means everything to me. My father was a successful Enduro rider at the end of the 90s, he „infected” me in a good sense with the beauty of off-road motorcycling and off-road racing. Not long after I was born, he started to ride trial motorcycle, and after I turned five, I also went with him to his competitions first as a spectator, then as a competitor.  I was 9 years old at my first trial competition as a competitor. The years passed, we trained and competed a lot, and in the meantime, I gained serious technical knowledge and experience. Until the present day, as a Hungarian competitor, I have managed to reach the highest level in this discipline.

My results in TRIAL:

In 2018, I won first place in the Könner (expert) category in the ÖTSV Austrian Trial Championship.

In 2019, I placed 1st in the professional category of the Hungarian Open National Trial Championship, and in Slovakia I achieved 1st place in the SMF Trial Junior Championship.

In 2020, I managed to win the Hungarian Championship again, in Slovakia in the professional (expert) category I got second. This year, I received the male athlete of the year award from the Hungarian Motorsport Association (MAMS).

In 2021, I achieved first place in the Slovak Trials Championship in both the junior and professional (expert) categories.

In 2022, I entered the trial European Championship. During the competitions in the junior category of the European Championship, I managed to get into the top ten competitors.

HARD ENDURO

This year also brought me a substantial change by a great opportunity. For some days at the beginning of 2022, I got the chance to participate in an enduro training session with Graham Jarvis in Spain, to experience and to feel what enduro is all about. Seeing my attitude and enthusiasm, on the closing day Graham Jarvis – multiple hard enduro world champion – offered me to compete in his team at the Hard Enduro World Championship. I went full steam ahead, and in this completely new discipline for me, I immediately started to ride in the most challenging World Championship field.

In July at the World Cup round in Italy in Abestone, I reached the 3rd place on the podium.

In the RedBull Romaniacs World Championship round in Romania, I won the prologue competition in the Expert category. At the end of the fourth day, I finished 8th overall out of 130 competitors.

In 2023 as the only Hungarian, I took out license to the Hard Enduro Junior World Championship. Unfortunately, I was seriously injured during a training in January, my collarbone broke, so I was „ironed”. I didn’t give up, as soon as I got out of the hospital, I started to do physiotherapy exercises and worked out every day. At the beginning of May, I already participated in a hard-enduro competition in Romania. A week later, at the first round of the World Championship in Serbia, I managed to finish in 10th place, despite several days of heavy rain. In the middle of June, I become the 29th out of 1500 competitors, in the legendary hard Erzberg Hard Enduro World Championship round, and in the Junior World Championship category I got the 5th place. I completed the hardest part of the race, the „Carls dinner”. In October I become the 10th at the Hixpania Hardenduro World Championship round in Spain and in November, I placed 8th in the final race of Getzenrodeo in Germany.

Based on the end-of-year summary, I placed 6th overall in the junior category of the Hard Enduro World Championship.

In the upcoming years, my main goal is to continue competing in the Hard Enduro World Championship. I would like to achieve even more serious results here in this field.

As much it is possible I will participate in enduro and hardenduro competitions in Hungary and Romania too. I also want to keep my shape in trial motorcycling, because I know that successful hardenduro is based on this, so for this reason and to popularize the sport, I will hold demonstrations primarily in Hungary.

Cheers, Barnabas
